Forbes: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach among best cities for jobs

Two South Florida metropolitan areas have been named by Forbes Magazine as among the top 25 cities in the country for jobs.

Fort Lauderdale moved to ninth, up from 25th, and West Palm Beach ranked 16th, up from 37th.

Florida had the most locations in the country, with six cities making the top 25.

Jacksonville took tops honors among metropolitan areas in the Sunshine State, placing third, up from eighth last year.

For the second year in a row, the Orlando-Kissimmee metropolitan area was listed as the fourth-best city in the country for jobs.

Other Florida metropolitan areas that made the top 25 were Sarasota-Bradenton - 11th, up from 26th - and Tampa/St. Petersburg - 13th, up from 29th.

Raleigh-Cary, N.C., occupied the top spot, followed by Phoenix.
